Damn wagon slipped away from me a coupla days!

I am back now though.  Eating has still been fairly healthy, it's the damn alcohol that throws down the devil's gauntlet on me!!  I hadn't exercised since Monday so I checked in and hit up a Zumba class this AM with my pal, Tammy.  As usual, the oh-so-tiny-booty-shaking latina bombshell who leads our class rocked us to the floor and mucho sweating was shared by all.  I was a worn out chica after that experience!! 

As far as meal plan for dinner?  I am actually hooking up with a lean cut of steak and some veggies of choice.  I figure it's not all that bad, eh?

Come on belly.....I'm ready to rid the world of you!!

Back on the wagon again....

For those who don't know me, I am an overweight Mom, student and wife who lives in the wild suburbs of Houston called Tomball. I have struggled with this mishap called being overweight all my life and I am finally trying my best to take strides to battle this big bulge and become a healthier person for it. My father died of congestive heart failure and I am DETERMINED not to let it get me at all costs! So....this blog will represent my journey to end the obesity in my life and to let unleash a new and healthier me. I give kudos out to my best friend, Jackie, who not only encouraged me to write this, but also gives me the drive I need sometimes to just kick butt.

It is approximately day 8 of my journey. Mother's Day hit me hard yesterday and I feasted on a pallete of high fat Italian canneloni that would make anyones arteries explode with it's mere presence. I paid for it the rest of the day with horrible bloating and tummy cramps.

3:15 AM rolled around this morning and I was quick to get myself up and prepare for a great training with my trainer, Mike, at Lifetime Fitness Gym. Little did I know that yesterdays lunch would render me basically useless and helpless in my fight against the bulge. I lasted 45 minutes of my hour long training session and I had to call it a day. Fair enough though....I did manage to get in a relatively solid workout. I promised Mike that I would get back on my eating healthy band wagon. Somewhat sad to say that I dined at lunch on Bud Light beer and a pretty bad filet of tilapia that I barely touched. Who knew?

Plans for tonights meal? Medium rare tuna dowsed in horseradish sauce and a healthy serving of my veggie of choice. Let's see if I can keep it there. Wait, I know I can!!! Tomorrow I think I will take in a Barbell Strength class at 5:15 and just see if I can shed some of this fat and barter it on in for some lean muscle....Will keep you posted!! Thanks for reading!
